ONLINE BRIEFING: Going Solar - How fast and how easily can Australia develop its solar industry?

If and when Australia agrees to firm emissions targets, the country is set for a big shake-up in how power is sourced and delivered, and solar energy is set become a much bigger part of the picture.

After a promising start in solar energy research it’s often said that Australia has missed the boat and most serious solar research is now happening offshore. Is it too late to catch up? How do we do it and what will it cost?

Solar experts have gathered in Adelaide at the 3rd International Solar Cities Congress to look seriously at the future of the industry at a time when the country will almost certainly face having to drastically reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
